The kingdom of Yotopia is exactly one hundred miles and seven centimetres from Lake Neverhere. 

For some reason, it only rains on Thursdays at midnight for an hour, except when there's a full moon. When there's a full moon, it will also rain on Friday mornings between 10am and 11am for thirteen minutes. Nobody knows why that happens or when it started, but since this started happening, Madame Fufu's Umbrella shop is no longer open on the weekends.

Some say it all started after the kingdom's first Queen, Lottie the First, was crowned. Known to most people as Lottie, the Giant, she was the smallest queen in the world at that time and loved to play tricks on everyone. One of her favourite tricks was climbing into a box at toy shops and pretending to be a doll of herself. It was funny most times when a kid would pick up the box, look at it really closely, and then the queen would suddenly shout boo! Giving them the shock of their life.

The King's beard was once used as a measuring tape in the kingdom's sports day for the kitten long jump competition. That year all the kittens that took part chose milk instead of medals as their prize.

Yotopia only has a winter season once every ten years, which is quite handy for the lions, who love the sunshine but not so great for the polar bears, who have to wear special trousers filled with ice to help them stay cool.
